6.10.2023 Lahti-Seagulls

We missed the start of the season. The guys understood our performance was unacceptable and stepped it up in practice. Defense was the message this week. Seagulls is an experienced team that will grow stronger every week. It is our chance to show that we can do the same. The goal is to perform in defense and build the offense from there.

10.10.2023 Bisons-Lahti

We keep improving every week and have a long road ahead of us. We keep working on the defense. We need to figure out how to keep the opponent from scoring. Bisons is a defensive team that is big and strong. We will have to be aggressive from the start and not allow the same offensive boards as Helsinki had in the last game. It’s all about good defensive possessions followed by our known offensive identity

14.10.2023 Lahti-Korihait

Last game, we showed flashes of what we can do. To win, you need everybody to contribute and for the whole game. We are not yet capable of doing that. We've been having great individual performances but the team aspect is missing. Korihait, on the other hand, is on a roll already. They have been playing great basketball in the first games. Their aggression and efficient use of players have been challenging for other teams. We prepared for what they want to do. We had two hard training sessions where the guys stepped up. Now, we need to execute what we planned consistently.

21.10.2023 Lahti-Kobrat

A full practice week to work on details was a welcome change. We focused again on the defense. Next visitor Lapua, is a strong inside team combined with an elite scorer. We will face similar challenges as in previous games. A new chance to show we can learn from our mistakes.

1.11.2023 Lahti-Pyrintö

We showed our traveling fans in KTP that we are improving and can compete. The few practices we had were about fixing details. Tampere has 2 of the strongest rebounders in the league. We need to stop them if we want to win this game. We are on the way up and want to show this in front of our home crowd!

18.11.2023 Lahti-BC Nokia

This week, we worked for the first time with a healthy team. It has been great to see what our possibilities are. Nokia is one of the success stories of this season so far. They can play on both sides of the court. We need to play intensely and show the mentality we were known for in the past seasons.

11.12.2023 Seagulls-Lahti

Games after such a long break are always challenging. We need to find a high pace immediately against the best team in the league. We focused on improving what held us back in the first round: intensity in 1-1 defense, solving communication mistakes, and ball screen defense. Today, we can test if the progress is visible.

15.12.2023 Lahti-Bisons

Today is an important game. We are playing a well-prepared team that competes consistently against all teams. We will need to be sharper at the start than in Helsinki. I saw a team that understands we need to step it up in practice, and we can build on that momentum. Let’s change the course of the season tonight.

19.12.2023 Lahti-Kauhajoki

The last game didn’t end as planned. We took small steps in the right direction. We were more intense. Sadly, the conclusion in the end is that we came short again. The only direction from here is up. There are still enough opportunities to change the momentum. Kristian is a welcome change in the team. We build together towards winning games again. Let’s fight and show we want an early holiday present.

28.12.2023 Kobrat-Lahti

In the last game, we set the tone in defense in some moments and showed the identity we've lost in the earlier part of the season. The goal today is similar. We want to show the Lahti spirit with a full roster. Lapua has shown to be effective in defense. We will have the opportunities today when we are not afraid to be aggressive.

31.12.2023 Lahti-KTP

This game is crucial. We need to set things straight in front of our Lahti home crowd. What we showed in Lapua was inconsistency and weak defense. We need the intensity we have been building over the last weeks. We do not give up and believe we will win games.

10.1.2024 Korihait-Lahti

The season continues with ups and downs. Every game is a new opportunity to show that we are improving. In practice, I see a team that believes in our abilities and wants to prove we are better than how we’ve been playing. We go to Korihait to show we can play the level needed for 40 minutes.

Koko syksy painettu kovasti hommia treeneissä, puolustukseen on keskitytty ja jätkät olleet erinomaisia harjoituksissa. Harmi vaan, että peleissä tätä ei ole saatu oikein koskaan näkymään.

Kuinka kauan tämän kaverin juttuja jaksetaan Lahdessa vielä kuunnella?

Toivottavasti Coomanilla on vain tämän kauden kattava soppari......
Voihan se olla tehtiin taas soppari joka edellyttää loppukauden palkkaa, jos tulisi kenkää. Suurimpia munauksia tuo Coomanin soppari. Kaverilla ei taida olla reeneissä kuin yksi kuvio, jota hierotaan. En ole ainakaan nähnyt peleissä mitään uutta. Edes paikkaa ei pelata !!! Lahti pelaa tällä hetkellä sarjan paskinta korista , jossa ei tuoda pelaajien omia vahvuuksia esiin.Puolustusta ei käytännössä ole. Pallo on jo menetetty siinä vaiheessa kun sen pitäisi kiertää pelaajalta toiselle. Taitaa joukkue olla menetyksissä sarjan '1'.
Laballa menossa jo nyt putoamis-peikko Bisonsin kanssa vaikka toistakymmentä matsia jäljellä.

Tämäpäs oli odottamaton. Tällainen heittopäivä tuskin toistuu, mutta intensiteettiä oli nyt enemmän ja ne surkeat jaksot jäivät lyhyemmiksi kuin aikaisemmin.

Clearyn pelaaminen pallottomana toimi yllättävän hyvin tokalla puoliajalla. Sitä voisi kokeilla muulloinkin.

Positiivista myös se, että Walker antaa lunastaa odotuksia ja istuu tähän paljon paremmin kuin Planutis.

Eilen Vilpas nosteli paintilta 50 pinnaa LaBan 24:ää vastaan. Pisteet hyökkäysripareista Vilppaalle 9-21. LaBan sentteri Padgett sai aikaiseksi 1 pisteen. Nämä faktat pakottaa Clearyn ja Sajantilan itsekkäisiin ratkaisuihin ensin haudottuaan palloa 20 seikkaa. Eikä sovi unohtaa Sajantilan lukemattomia menetyksiä.
